A survey conducted for the Northern Virginia Transportation Alliance finds that most Northern Virginia residents do not believe Northern Virginia’s transportation needs can be met without raising taxes.
The survey also finds that nearly six of 10 Northern Virginians would support a regional tax dedicated to funding regional priorities and 53% would support a 10-cent per gallon gas tax or an expenditure of about $1.00 per week to fix transportation.
Not surprisingly, transportation continues to be the number one concern, receiving more mentions than all other issues combined.
